The Young Guns Membership is available to all HDNZRA drivers and anyone that meets the below criteria of joining.
The concept is simple, by the Young Gun mixing with the wider membership community at all 3 racetracks, it enables members at Hampton Downs, Taupo and Highlands the connections to support up and coming Kiwi motorsport talent. It also introduces the Young Guns to some of the key players in New Zealand motorsport, gives them the opportunity to mix and mingle with them in our Members Lounges at Hampton Downs, Taupo and Highlands, and build relationships that could potentially lead to sponsorship or other support down the track.
More importantly, the membership entitles our Young Guns up to 80 track sessions/track days per year at Hampton Downs, Taupo and Highlands, giving them the access they need to hone the skills they develop at the academy.
The discounted cost of membership for the Young Guns is $2550 (+GST) for the year (a saving of over $15,000 in the first year!) and the membership is open to:
- 13yrs – 21yrs of age (must be no older than 20 at the time of signing); and hold either an MSNZ licence or NZ Civil – restricted or higher
- Participants of the Hampton Downs academy; or
- Those who join MUST participate in an HD academy session within each membership year as a Young Gun Member. Please note – This is at an additional cost to the annual fee.

- Access to all GT Members days, both at Hampton Downs and Taupo
- Develop track driving skills on world class circuits
- 20% off Race Car Test Days at Hampton Downs and Taupo Motorsport Park
- Free use of pit garages on Members days
- With participating in the Hampton Downs NZ Racing Academy, this also gives you the opportunity to be selected for the Toyota ’86 and/or CTFROC Shootout sponsorship with the Tony Quinn Foundation
